Delighting in pages where you find all that you need.
Stories, recipes, poetry, faith in a seed.
You know who you are! You’ve got your nose in a book.
Or perhaps you’re browsing shelves for volumes others forsook.
Regardless of specifics, we are on the same page.
We seek our adventures from the storyteller, writer, and sage.
Where you find these adventures is not up to me.
But you’ll find Arugula Books Sunday at The Providence Flea.
There you’ll find children’s tales, with pictures and conversations.
You’ll find a seventies gardening catalog with helpful tips and illustrations.
From further back in time, two volumes of plays by George Bernard Shaw.
And, some lovely cookbooks if you don’t fancy your food raw.
There is poetry to savor. Lose yourself in language and verse.
My poems aren’t among them, though there could be some worse.
The whatnot section is a festival of varied subject matter.
Some say arbitrary; some say eclectic. Let’s go with the latter.
I hope to see you at Arugula Books, Sunday, July 31 10:00-3:00. Providence Flea, Providence River Greenway, 275 South Water Street in Providence near the Pedestrian Bridge
Your sense of humor will be worth the trip.
Anyone who can write poetry on the fly
Is worth a trip to stop on by!
